BC at KK Food Fest 2012 - The Opening

Let us say this again... KK Food Fest is awesome!

Following up last year's festival, this year, BC is proudly present, our new product line.. The 'Wedding Treats'!

Wedding Treats consist of wedding cakes, cupcakes and macaroons catering to the increasing requests for conventional and non conventional wedding cakes.


During the opening exhibition, the BC team had met a lot of future bride and groom eager on discussing their upcoming wedding cakes/cupcakes/macaroons. Some wanted their wedding treats to be classy and elegant, some wished for a concept different from the norm. For whichever it is, custom designed cakes and cupcakes is our forte ;) Your wedding wish is our command! *cue genie in the bottle song*

Aside from wedding treats display, we also sold lots of macaroons this afternoon. Samples of our cupcakes were also among them and it was nice to see all eager visitors sampling on them.


As bridal couple becoming more and more creative... BC not only aims to make our customer happy by creating their dream wedding treats, we're also expanding our new line scope by providing services in various aspects of wedding services! Wedding planners, caterers and photographers are welcome to discuss with Boutique Cupcakes on possible collaborations :)

Congratulations to Fara and Johan!

On the 10th and 11th January 2012, we got the opportunity to share the matrimonial of Fara & Johan. It was a very exciting inter cultural wedding with a Go-Green serene theme for their Akad Nikah ceremony :)

Wedding cakes and cupcakes: What theme should i go for?

September has always been a favourite month for us at Boutique Cupcakes :)
Not only it reminded us of our journey during the setting up of our FIRST cafe in Lintas Plaza, but it is also the time where wedding bells are everywhere and surprise birthday parties are happening almost every night!

However, the top question that we've always been asked whenever customers walk in to our shop to order their engagement or wedding cupcakes/cakes is...

What theme should i go for?

Clearly, most of our customer knew what they wanted.. but they are having trouble at expressing it!

So from now onwards, Boutique Cupcakes will post ideas and examples of wedding cakes and cupcakes for your inspiration. Next time you'll come to BC, all you have to do, is show us the photo :) and we'll be happy to do it for you.

Wedding cupcakes / cake theme purely depending on the time of the event.
Be it summer or spring wedding, vintage or garden wedding, floral or beach wedding cakes, you have to decide if your wedding is to be held during the day, or at night... indoor or outdoor.

And why is that you asked? :)

First of all, fondant decoration is suitable at room or slightly below room temperature.. Buttercream however lasts longer.

Secondly, you might want to opt for brighter colour for night events and bolder/darker during the day, as contrast can really bring impact to the overall look of your wedding

Thirdly, the size of your wedding cakes should be relative to the number of wedding guests you are expecting. Will you be serving the wedding cake as a dessert in its own right or as an accompaniment to coffee? Or will it be just for decoration purposes?

Wedding Bells are ringing!!!

Hey ya peeps!

How was your Christmas celebration last Saturday? Did you get many presents? Surprises perhaps? I know one of our team did. We'd like to say Congratulations to Fara and her soon to be fiance, Julian, for their upcoming engagement!

Forget expensive restaurants and formal dinner. Instead, Julian held his planned official wedding proposal in Boutique Cupcakes outlet during our Christmas Secret Santa party at the outlet!!! Wohooo!

Wow! It's December already!!!

Day by day, big thanks to our customers and fans, Boutique Cupcakes has grown tremendously and has been adding more and more creative cupcake design and new products in a very short period of time!

This time, we have added a new chiller specially for our new dessert line!

1) Lemon Meringue Tart (RM2.50)


A yummy-licious sweet pastry crust with lemon curd filling and airy meringue! Oooooo!!


Next is..


2) Fragola (RM5.00)


Fragola means Strawberry in Italian. It's a strawberry cheese topped with fresh cream with slices of fresh strawberry! Definitely a must try!

Last but not least..

3) Blueberry Crumble with warm custard sauce (RM3 each!)


To all blueberry fans, this is for you. It is served with oozing warm custard sauce, perfect to be eaten with hot fruit tea OR combined with our cookies! Oooh la la~
